2009 Vision: Serving the Community through the Arts and Acts of Kindness
2 events coming up!
Louis Rose, James Geisler & I will be playing our "coffie house" set at the health fair on Saturday, Nov. 8, here at FCCN. We will have many people on our campus, and we'll be performing our acoustic groove in the dining room while people are eating. Come by and check it on on November 8: the health fair is from 10:00-2:00 at the FCCN campus.
The choir and orchestra will be performing at Eastland Mall on Sunday evening, November 23. We'll be performing many of the tunes from the christmas musical. There will be as many as 10,000 people at the mall that night for the Simon's Youth Foundation, so we'll be able to share the true meaning of Christmas with many people.
Remember why we are doing this: we'll be performing some quality music in the community, and then simply invite them to come to FCCN for a worship service. Who knows how many people will come to Jesus because we first extended grace to them right where they were. Didn't Jesus do the same thing?
Choir & Orchestra : Leading Worship this Sunday!
I look forward to worshipping with all of you this Sunday! Please remember to park in the back of the parkinglot, drop of your kids in the nursery, and be in the worship center by 7:00 A.M.
During practice that evening, The Choir will be working on "Two Kingdoms." The orchestra will work on "Undescore 1" & "Herod Underscore" (I'll pass the "Herod Underscore" out this Sunday morning). We'll also practice "Sing Noel" together since we did not get a chance to do that one in October.
The practice time will look like this: 6:00 P.M. greeting and sharing the good things from Sunday morning
6:05-6:30 Sectionals
6:30-7:00 Choir practices in chapel (Two Kingdoms,) ochestra continues to practice in the worship center
7:00-7:20 Prayer Groups in the worship center
7:20-7:30 Practice "Sing Noel" together: choir and orchestra in the worship center
Keep listeng to that CD! Memorization month is coming! I was in the work out room here at the church today, and someone had left their "Christmas Musical" CD in the CD player. Yes! They had been listening to their CD during their workout! Way to go, whoever that was! :)
November 2: Last Chance to Join the Choir & Orchestra for Christmas
This Sunday night is the last chance to join the choir and orchestra for Christmas! This year's Christmas Musical will be big, large sets, costume changes, live animals, special effects, etc. So if you're on the fence, come by and give the choir & orchestra a shot this Sunday night! We practice from 6:00-7:30 and childcare is provided for every practice.
God bless you all!
