Worship Ministry Update: 1/14/08

Vision Night:  This Sunday night, January 18  in the chapel at 6:00 P.M.!

I am ecstatic about this!  I hope to see EVERYONE in the worship ministry at this event!  Believe me, you will not want to miss it.  It will be a multi-sensory experience, with experiential worship, videos, music, testimonies and a whole lotta soul. :)  We'll be sharing the details of the vision for 2009: serving the community through the arts and acts of kindness.  We'll see you at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel: childcare is provided.  All you need to bring is 7 loaves of bread and a few small fish.

 Choir & Orchestra

Thanks to everyone who came out for our first night of practice, we had a great turn out!  BUT we can always use some more people, so come on out and use your musical talents for Jesus!

The choir and orchestra will meet again on Sunday night January 25 at 6:00 P.M.  We'll be running through the special song and worship songs for when we lead worship on February 1.  Choir and orchestra, please stop by the welcome center this Sunday night to pick up your packets for February 1.

However, at 5:00 P.M., we'll have vocal solo tryouts in the dining room for the following songs:

"All Because of Jesus" (verse 1: male solo, verse 2, female solo)
"Your Grace is Enough" (Verse 1 & 2: male or female solo)
"God of this City" (Verse: male or female solo)
"Hear our Praises" (Verse 2: male or female solo)

I encourage you to try out, especially you new people: it's one of the main ways I find new talent for the worship teams and for solos on Sunday morning.

Also at 5:00 P.M., we'll be setting the stage for when the choir and orchestra leads worship, so if you don't feel lead to tryout for a solo, we could use your muscles on stage. :)

 Value for the Month: "Integrity

We define integrity as doing the right thing, even when it's difficult.   A good example of that was when you all stayed for the extremely LONG taping of the Christmas musical during that frightful Friday night in December: it was a long night, and everyone was tired, but you all stuck through it and God was glorified because of it.  In fact, we have new people attending FCCN now because of your efforts.  Thanks for doing your ministry with integrity!  God bless all of you!
