Choir & Orchestra
We've got more people stepping up to serve, but we can always use more! We'll need lots of voices and instrumentalists to fill the Centre when we sing for the Right to life Banquet in April! Come on out and join us this evening. We practice every Sunday night from 6:00-7:30 P.M., and childcare is provided for every practice.
This Sunday night, we'll be working on "Hear our Praises" & "God of this City" Here's what the evening will look like:
6:00 opening prayer and value of the month!
6:05-6:25 Prayer groups
6:25-6:55 sectional rehearsal: "Hear our Praises" & "God of this City" I will be with the tenors for sectionals since Doug will be gone!
6:55 -7:15 full choir practices in the chapel, orchestra & rhythm section continues to practice on stage
7:15-7:30: Everyone in the worship center to practice "Hear our Praises" & "God of this City" together
You'll also receive the music packet for when we lead worship next: March 1. I'm looking forward to it!
Two Kingdoms Christmas Musical DVD's
If you would like a copy of the DVD for the Christmas Musical, you may sign up for one at the welcome center this Sunday, or request a copy directly by emailing our media director, Guy Hall ghall@fccn.org. The DVD will include special features, including outtakes! :)
Value for the month: "Be on time"
I'm sure we've all been part of organizations in the past who do not begin their meetings on time. Then people begin to show up later and later, because they tell themselves "we never start on time anyway." It becomes a vicious circle, and eventually that organization does not live up to it's full potential. I'm sure we've all seen that happen.
Being on time is a concious choice. Those of us with small children have to choose to get ready to leave much earlier than expected, and it's up to us to make it happen. It would be easy for me to blame my little ones for me not being on time, but I refuse to do that. Jennifer and I just make sure we're getting ready with enough time even if we can't find shoes/keys/juice/sunglasses/coat or whatever. :)
It's a commitment I have made to you all to begin on time, and I know you all appreciate that. I appreciate you all too!
God bless,
Phill
