2009 Vision: Impacting the community through the arts and acts of kindness
The Guys vocal concert is coming up fast: Sunday night, May 3 @ 6:30! We've been working hard and we're just about ready! If you enjoy new country music or listening to KLOVE (95.3 FM), this is the concert for you! After the concert, the Guys will begin performing in the community.
I haven't gotten ANY pictures from you all! Remember, during the concert, we will be showing a video while we sing the song called "In Color." We need pictures from WWII, the Korean War and the great depression. If anyone has pictures of grandparents, parents or yourself that you would like to share with us, please let me borrow them. I will need them by this Sunday! (April 26)!
WORSHIP NIGHT, MAY 9
EVERYONE young and old is invited to come make a joyful noise at our next Worship Night, on Saturday evening, May 9. We often get asked, "So when are you going to do another one of those worship nights?" It's coming up quick, so write it on your calendar now! Join us for some high-energy singing and "interactive" worship, in a more intimate setting, with your hometown XP Band. Whether you are 15, 35, or 65, you'll want to be a part of it. Saturday, May 9, at 6 pm, upstairs in the high school room. As always, we're encouraging kids to worship with their parents, but even if your children might be too young for that, bring 'em out! We'll have child care as well.
Questions? Contact Eric Rudisill or Scott Lehman.

Value of the Month: Ephesians 4:29
"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen"
According to Ephesians 4:29, we are commanded to build each other up. It's not hard for me to do that this week:
I'm still geekin' out about the quality job that the choir and orchestra did at the Right to Life Banquet! It was an awesome experience. I want to compliment you all one more time: you had all your music down, you all showed up on time, you looked alive on stage! You even wore what I asked you to wear. :) When we hit the stage and started the first song, I just started laughing: I was overcome with so much joy to be with you all and direct for such an awesome opportunity. You all make me feel good. :)
Choir and orchestra will begin again Sunday night, September 13. Much too long in my opinion, but the break will be nice. See you in September,
Phill
