New Music for January!

eXPeriential Worship: October 24

Worship, Community, Music, and Love! Invite your friends and family to come out for a night of interactive high-energy praise and worship on Saturday, October 24, at 6 pm. All are invited, whether you are 15, 35, or 75. The XP Band will lead a lengthy time of worship and we'll talk a bit about some martyrs that have died following Jesus. Families are encouraged to worship together, but there will also be childcare provided.

Value of the Month: " Thou Shall Not Covet"

Exodus 20:17: "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."

How 'bout that new Corvette? 0-60 in 3.4 seconds flat...  But I guess my minivan does just fine.  Really, what would I do with a Corvette anyway?  I'd probably just get into trouble, or be sent to heaven a lot sooner.  And you certainly can't fit a family of five in 2 seater (although I'd like to see YOU try it).

Here's the kicker: dreaming about my neighbor's Corvette only diminishes what God has in store for me in the future.  He's called me to be a fully devoted follower, to raise a family of fully devoted followers of Jesus.  God has called me to be part of a church that sees the lost saved and the saved transformed in to fully devoted followers of Jesus.  Real life change!  With eternity at stake, that's far more exciting than 0-60 in 3.4.  How about 0-60 years old and then straight to heaven?  Gentleman, start your engines!

I'm already half way there!  How 'bout you?

    Phill
