Choir and rhythm section begins this Sunday night, January 10 at 6:00 P.M.!
We’ll be back together this Sunday night! Can’t wait to sing with you all again! “Sing, Sing, Sing” and “There will be a Day” are just a few of the songs we’ll be doing together.
Remember that we’ll also have the Kings Kids (preschool) and the 1st-5th grade choir practicing on Sunday night, so bring the kiddos too!
Since Jake is no longer with us, and Fran and Tom cannot direct the orchestra this spring, we’ll be putting the orchestra on hold until the fall. But we will have the rhythm section with us: drums, percussion, keyboards and lots of guitar!
Special Thanks to Jeff Coombs for making lots of copies of the CD’s for us!
Value of the Month: “Integrity”
We define integrity as “doing the right thing, even when it’s hard.” Consider what God commanded Joshua in Joshua chapter 1: “be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you.”
I find it interesting that God commanded Joshua to not only be strong and courageous, but also to obey the entire law too! Throughout the entire chapter, God talks about fighting hard and taking the promise land, but in the same breath He also commands Joshua to follow His laws. It’s seems like the two are not mutually exclusive.
Are we going to be able to do things for God without following His word too? Is God going to bless that? What about one Joshua’s fighting men: Achan? Check it out in Joshua chapter 7. I’ll blog about that next week.
Random Blog Thought
This Sunday we’re singing words like “winter storms have come” and “heavenly storehouses laden with snow.” Hmm, prophetic, maybe?
