FCCN Worship Ministry Blog: February 16

Concert for the Principal April 25

It’s a little more than 2 months away!  It will be the best of the worship ministry: The adult choir, 541, XP, Mars Hill, 1st-5th grade choir, drama, King’s Kids choir, and much, much more!  At the end we’ll take up an offering and put %100 of the offering on the principal of this building’s mortgage.  The concert will be from 6:00-7:30 and childcare will be provided.

Remember, we’ll have open tryouts on Tuesday night, March 2 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the worship center.  More slots have been filled this week, but could still use some more!  Please sign up for 10 minute time slots starting at 6 P.M.  Just shoot me an email with the time you want to tryout and I’ll make the schedule.

Value of the Month: “Be on Time”

I learned a valuable lesson about being on time while I attended Northrop High School up in Fort Wayne.  (We would have gone to school today despite the snow, btw, shout out to all you Warrick County School Corporation folks in your pj’s right now J.).  Northrop’s administration had a “zero tolerance” for being late.  If you showed up late to your 8:00 A.M. class, it landed you in detention at the end of the day, no exceptions.  I was in detention twice for being late.  I thought it was a little harsh.  One day I knew I was going to be late, so I skipped school that day.  Don’t tell my dad, he still doesn’t know. J

As you know, we value starting and ending on time around here.  I respect your time and really appreciate your service!  So, showing up late will not land you in detention, but I will speak with you privately about it.  Not because I enjoy confrontation, but I care about you and your service here, and I hope that it’s as much of a joy for you as it is for me.

          God bless,

                    Phill
