Unity Choir Concert: June 6 at 6:00 P.M.!

It’s only two weeks away!  I can’t begin to explain the joy and fun that I’ve had practicing with that group!  It’s been so much fun to just be “one of the guys” and not be the main leader.  We look forward to seeing what God is going to do at the concert in the worship center on June 6.

New Worship Ministry Intern (June 1)

I’m also very excited about Brian Walker joining us as our new worship ministry intern!  Brian is a very talented worship leader, singer/songwriter, guitarist, and all around good guy.  His first day in the office will be Tuesday, June 1, so most of you all will get to meet him on Sunday, June 6.  He’ll be playing acoustic and electric guitar that day in the 9:15 and 10:45 services.  He’ll be staying with Bob and Brenda Walters.  We’ve got him here until December 31.  He’s listed as an officer on the worship ministry Facebook page, so feel free to send him a friend request.

Unity Choir Concert: June 6 at 6:00 P.M.!

I’m having so much fun practicing with the unity choir, and it’s great to have about a dozen FCCN adult choir people along for the ride as well!  The Unity Choir will be in concert on June 6:00 at 6 P.M. here in the FCCN worship center.  You may remember the Unity Choir: they performed at the concert for the principal and in a few worship services in the past year.  If you enjoy gospel music, you will love this concert!

Open Tryouts for the Vocal Team and Praise Band!

We’ve got 2 new people trying out this week!  Come on, everybody!  Out of those pews and on to the stage! J  The summer time is a little easier schedule for me, so give me a shout if you or someone you know wants to tryout to play in the band or sing on the vocal team!

Praise Team Practice is on Wednesday this Week

Noah’s Ark Preschool Graduation is Tuesday (May 11) in the worship center, so we’ll be having practice on Wednesday (May 12) instead.  Modern service from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Classic service from 8:00-9:00 P.M.

 

Open Tryouts for the Vocal Team and Praise Band!

Value of the Month: Relational Evangelism

As we discussed last year, the best way to talk to someone about Jesus is to be their friend first.  That’s the whole idea behind the yellow cards each week.  I have a stack of them sitting on my desk today.  Every day I pray for an open door for the person on that card to talk to their friend about Jesus.  We’ve seen some amazing things happen as a result of that ministry!

 

Unity Choir

We had an absolute blast practicing with the unity choir last night!  Lots of laughs, great music, prayer and preaching!  It was wonderful!  I’m looking forward to a concert here on Sunday night, June 6!

We begin our first practice Monday night, May 10 in the chapel!  I’m so excited to be involved!

 

Summer Groove with a Christmas Theme!

 

          I’m starting to plan the Christmas musical this week: Any ideas?  Shoot them my way.  I know, Christmas in MAY?

 

Weddings

 

So far we have lots of vocalists who want to be involved in weddings, praise the Lord!  Am I the only instrumentalist that wants to be involved in weddings?  Let me know if you want to be involved.  We need guitarists, piano players, string players, woodwind and brass.

One of the encouraging things that I’m seeing in the worship ministry is that many of you are inviting your friends to come and join the worship ministry.  Awesome!  And that’s probably the healthiest way to grow a worship ministry: “hey, I enjoy this, why don’t you give it a try?”

Volunteer appreciation party canceled.

It's raining like Noah's 100'th birthday. My backyard will be a muddy mess Sunday night.

I still appreciate all of you. All I can say is that if you're a farmer, and you need rain, have ME schedule an event outside. :)
