FCCN Worship Ministry Blog: September 13

4th Quarter Schedules

Please let me know which Sundays are busy for you from now until the end of the year.  Please also include The Christmas Eve December 24 service at 5:00 P.M.  Your schedules are due on Monday morning so Brian can get started on it.

Come on out and join us this Sunday night if you couldn’t make it last Sunday.  We had a great turnout, but we’re always looking for more!

You’ll sign in at the east welcome center, but we’ll be practicing in the chapel for that night only.

Woolly Wednesdays: 6:00 P.M.

What is Woolly Wednesdays? Any ideas? Leave your interesting or creative responses in the comment section below. J

We’re starting a new practice for those who want to be involved in choir but Sundays nights do not fit into their schedule.  I want as many people to use their singing talents as possible, and I thought, “how big a deal would it be to have some folks over at my house for an hour every other week?”  It will be a relaxed atmosphere, but I will expect everyone who attends Woolly Wednesday to already know their parts and be ready to sing.  I don’t mind to plunk a few parts here and there, but I’ll expect everyone to do some work on the music ahead of time before you get to the Foust house.  Woolly Wednesday is also for anyone who would like a little more practice after the Sunday practices.  So come on out to my house from 6:00-7:00 P.M.  Shoot me an email and I’ll give you directions, it’s no biggie.  The dates for Woolly Wednesdays are: September 22, October 6, October 20, November 3 and November 17.  In December, we’ll need everyone to attend the various practices for the Christmas Musical.

Jake Miller

I excited to tell you that I talked with Jake this afternoon.  As you know, he was our worship ministry intern last year.  He is soon to be the new worship minister at Lake Christian Church in Palmyra, Virginia!  You can check out their website at www.lakechristianchurch.org.
