FCCN Worship Ministry blog: February 2

Warning: it's a long blog today: there's lots going on :)
Choir and Rhythm Section Leads Worship this Sunday!
I'm excited to lead worship with you all! I think we'll have some great worship together.
Park in the back, drop the kiddos in the nursery, and be in the worship center at 6:45 (notice the value of the month below :) We'll also eat breakfast together at 7:45 in the gym, so come hungry.
No Choir/Rhythm Section Practice This Sunday Night
I'll be at home watching the game. How 'bout you? We'll practice again on February 13. The Orchestra will join us starting February 20.

Value of the Month: be on time
I choose February as the month to talk about "being on time" because it's the shortest month. I only have to talk about it for 28 days :)
A glimpse into my syche: my love language is "acts of service." So what does that mean? It's simple, really. When I ask you to something and you do it, my love tank is filled up, I'm in a good mood. Flip side: I ask you to do something (like "memorize your music" or "be here at 6:45") and you choose not to, it really grates on me.
So one of the reasons I love ministry here at FCCN is because when I ask you all to do something, you do it. There's not a bunch of hand-ringing or flip-flopping. Thanks so much for that! It is such a blessing to me.
I try to exemplify this value for you every practice. If practice starts at 6:45, I'm going to have doors open, lights on and childcare ready so you can be in the worship center ready to go. I'll also start promptly and finish on time because I respect your time too! I value you as a volunteer and friend.
