2nd Quarter Schedules Due Monday Morning, March 12
Please let me know which Sundays you can serve on the praise team. I'll put the schedule together based on your schedule. Yes, yours. YOUR schedule. :) April 1 through June 30.
Worship and Elementary Choir Leads Worship this Sunday!
Rhythm section and media team, I'll see you in the worship center at 7:30. Choirs, I'll see you in the chapel at 8:45. How cool will it be to give 10,000 reasons to sing praise?
Concert for Hope and Easter Sunday
Thanks to everyone who tried out for the concert in May and for Easter Sunday. I think this concert will be amazing with all kinds of great music! We will also have some established groups in and outside of the church performing at the concert: The Worship and Elementary Choir, Orchestra, King's Kids, Psalm 100, Sammy 5, XP, the High School Worship Band, etc. In addition we will also have some talent from the community, such as "All In," Deante Ramon and others. Oh man, it's going to be huge! I praise the Lord for all the talent he's brought here to FCCN!
We were working on David Crowder, but he can't make it that Sunday. Seriously! We were working on that. No foolin'.
Please contact me and let me know how long your song is (to the minute and second please), so I can start to put a concert flow together.

Value of the Month: Be on Time
How important is it to show up on time? Consider what happened to Saul in 1 Samuel 11. The Ammonites invaded Jabeth Gilead, and threatened to gouge out the right eye of everyone who lived there (11:1-2).
Not cool. Yeah, you may have had an eye patch at Halloween with a parrot on your shoulder. But for the other 364 days a year, you want both eyes, don't you?
The people of Jabeth Gilead wanted both of their eyes too. So they sent word throughout Israel to ask for help. If the men of Israel did not show up before "the sun was hot" the next day, it would have destroyed the military capability of Israel's archers (11:9).
Notice what Saul does: "Saul separated his men into three divisions" he does some preparation BEFORE he needs to be there. Smart. But also notice when he shows up: "during the last watch of the night" (11:11). The last watch of the night is roughly between 3 and 6 A.M., so Saul and his men show up early!
The nation of Israel scored a great victory that day. And that is partly because Saul does some work before he needed to be on the battlefield, and he makes sure everyone not only shows up on time, but they show up early.
So I'll give you an example of what I do every Saturday night so I'm at church for practice on time at 7:30 A.M. (long after the 4th watch, by the way). Every Saturday night I set out my clothes and my breakfast (instant oatmeal: preferably with brown sugar or Cinnamon...mmmm.). I put my shoes and coat by the door.
If I'm ever late, please don't pluck out my eye, arrr matey!
