Value of the Month: Excellence
Excellence is doing the very best with what you have.  A good example of excellence is the tree that is blooming outside your window right now.  Go take a look at it.  Go on, get moving!  I know you're tired from daylight savings time, but get up and look out your window.  You don't have to go all the way outside, just stretch your legs.  There you go!  I knew you had it in you. :)

Notice the intricate design of the budding leaves and tender branches.  It does not have full grown leaves yet, but it's getting there.  A little bit every day.  Soon you'll be able to sit in its shade.  Because it's doing the best it can with what it has.

God does the same for us.  He gives us what we need so we can do our best for Him.  Consider the church in Philippi.  They were generous, they gave what they could, and God blessed them because of their efforts.  They were so generous, in fact, that that Paul said "and my God will meet all of your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

So do the best with what you have.  And someday, some random worship minister might write a blog about you and not your tree.
